✸ A limited-edition 2021 calendar featuring 12 mono-printed folkloric illustrations by Layla Holzer ✸
This A4 calendar features 12 months of beautiful animals and nature motifs, from galloping wild horses, leaping moon hares, fairytale florals, key-keeping swans and scatterings of stars, bones and skulls, all inspired by folklore stories, superstitions and spells, and folk-horror landscapes.
The front cover features a composition of illustrated elements from the calendar, which has been hand-foil finished for a super shiny, magical effect. The calendar date has purposely been left off the cover so that you can reuse it as a print! There are different front cover colour options available: Black with pink foil, navy with rose gold foil, white with turquoise foil, white with lilac foil, white with rose gold foil – please choose from the drop-down menu.
Each illustration has been originally created using a mono-print relief process in a rich Prussian blue ink, before being digitised and back-ground coloured for digital print.
Calendar pages are bound by a gold bulldog clip with a soft faux-suede cord for hanging. To swap to the next month you simply unclip, switch to the next page and re-clip. Each page is halved – illustration at the top and calendar dates at the bottom, meaning you can cut the pages in half and keep the illustrations as artwork after use!
Please note: calendar orders will be sent out from 12th January 2021 whilst I await packaging stock.
