Commissioned work for Cardiff-based female empowering business Black and Beech. The brief was to create a series of feminist figures with complementary motifs that represent femininity and female power.

Each figure has been drawn from a collected series of photographs as well as reading accounts of each female in order to get a sense of their character and stance. They all carry props that are related to their careers, activism or pivotal life moments. The patterning on their clothing also nods to female symbolism.

This art work has been used across decorations and stationery, and is has also been extended to beautiful woven blankets. Further products are in the making including nightwear.
